"ELISABETH FARAONE is one photographer to watch for.  In a series of her works she embarks into the horror, the darkness and the macabre."

Elisabeth Faraone is currently a freelance photographer living in Westchester County, NY. She graduated with a B.F.A. in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in 2006 and in graduated with a M.A. in Art Education from Adelphi University, in 2008. She went on to become an art teacher, jeweler, clothing designer, and all around artist.

Elisabeth Faraone, is known for her fiercely emotional work stemming from her experiences, and fear of abandonment.  Elisabeth's frustration grew from fear of abandonment and loss of time, people, and the like which  became a the violent theme in many of her works.

She uses blood as a symbol of life, not so much horror even though her work can be viewed differently. The angel statues, dolls and natural elements are photographed to explain her philosophy of preserving beauty, life and purity also serving as reminder of how these creations will only grace us for a short time, then go away.

Elisabeth Faraone"s photographs are graphic displays of her desire to keep the unobtainable and demonstrations of her success of preserving moments that were.
